Dear Vendor,
We’d like to notify you of a change to our current policy for creating new items in Amazon’s catalog. Effective immediately, we will no longer be issuing purchase orders for new items which are missing product images. Product detail pages missing images suffer from lower conversion and don’t offer customers the information that they need to make purchase decisions. When you create new items in Amazon’s catalog, please ensure that once your items have been assigned ASINs that you promptly upload images for those items. Once we have images in place, we will move your product’s status to orderable.  We thank you in advance for your efforts to help us improve the shopping experience for Amazon customers.

Amazon is excited to launch Item Setup Requests. Item Setup Requests are items that Amazon has identified we do not currently offer in our Retail selection. Amazon wants to offer customers Earth's largest selection and needs your help. To offer these items, Amazon needs additional new item setup information to be provided by you according to the instructions below. If you cannot offer these items to Amazon, or if we have made a mistake, please use the "Suppress selected items" option as described below.

Instructions

Log into your Vendor Central account.

To view your Item Setup Requests click on the "Item Setup Requests" link under your Action Items from the Vendor Central home page*.

Select each template to view.

For each template:

  1. Select the items you wish to setup for Amazon.
  2. Click "Download template with selected items".
  3. Complete the downloaded template with requested item details.
  4. Upload the completed template in Vendor Central.
If there are items you do not want to setup for Amazon, use "Suppress selected items" and please include a reason.
